Congratulations
Congratulations to Anthony Hansen and Kelli Holcomb who
celebrated the Sacrament of Marriage on June 21, 2008. Kelli and

Through the waters of baptism Landon Michael Swango was welcomed
into the Christian Community on June 22, 2008. Landon is the son of

Year of Saint Paul
Last summer Pope Benedict XVI announced that the church would
observe a celebration in honor Saint Paul, the Apostle from June 29,
2008 to June 28, 2009. May each of us be as eager as Saint Paul was
to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

There will be a second collection on June 28th and 29th
to support the relief work of Pope Benedict.
Deacon Ordination
On Saturday June 28th Archbishop Buechlein will
ordain the first class of Permanent Deacons for the Archdiocese of
Indianapolis. These deacons will be ordained for service ministry
in the Archdiocese. Doctor Arthur Alunday is one of the 25 new
deacons. Please keep him and all the new deacons in your prayers.
Confirmation retreat
There will be a confirmation retreat for those students that
will be entering the tenth grade for the school year 2008-2009, and
for those students that have not yet made a retreat and will be
receiving the sacrament the fall of 2008. The date for the retreat
is Saturday, August 9, at St. Maurice, Napoleon. The time and other
information will be given at a later date.
Vacation Bible School
Julie Diekhoff is coordinating Vacation Bible School this year.
July 21-25, concluding program Saturday July 26. RAIN FOREST
ADVENTURES Students from pre-school – 6th grade
(2007/08 school year) are invited. Young adults and adult helpers

Sunday June 29th at the First Presbyterian, Greensburg
from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. $6.00 a person. $15.00 for families 100 % of
the money raised will be for HOUSE # 1 Habitat for
Humanity, Decatur County.

Dina Herbert as they celebrate 47 years of marriage on June 24. We
wish a Happy Anniversary to Vincent and Ann Duerstock as they
celebrate 51 years of marriage on June 29. Thank you for being a
sign of faith and fidelity to the community.
